ROTARACT
[Info provided by Vickie Davanzo]

Two descriptions developed by the Rotaract VP, John Minniti, provide an overview of Rotaract. The students have elected a board. Their next steps include increasing membership and developing local and international service projects.

Rotaract is a new campus club affiliated with Rotary International. Rotaract clubs do many different things, but all undertake three types of activities:
1. Professional and career development of club members;
2. Leadership development of club members; and
3. Service projects, both local and international.

The ad below that was listed in the campus on-line newsletter may say it best:

ONTARIO ROTARY PROJECT

Ontario Rotarians are having Breakfast with Santa at Applebee’s in Ontario, near Sam’s Club, Saturday, December 10th. Breakfast will start at 8:30 AM. There will be a bag of goodies for each child, a picture of each child with Santa, and all are included in the low price for breakfast. Also there are door prizes.

It is a fun event, with Ontario Golden Girls Drill Team serving breakfast. Plus it’s a worthy cause to further Ontario Rotary’s Projects to benefit others. Many area families are there as guests because they couldn’t come otherwise.

Come support this worthy project. [Submitted by Carol Au]

TUTORS STILL NEEDED!

Tutors are still needed in Mansfield City Elementary Schools. Voters have turned down several levy requests, so one way to make a difference is by volunteering some time to help a student or two! Walt Chaffee will be glad to talk to any Rotarian, Rotarian spouse or family member, or other volunteer about becoming engaged as a tutor. Get involved! Make a difference!! Contact Walt at wcha104003@aol.com or (419) 756-1959.
